Candide, the legendary progressive punk trio, erupts as a kind of theatrical fever dream: a shambolic yet exacting northern soul dancer, the mighty boosh of rock. Garage-guitar fireworks collide with Baroque-esque melodrama; these are the melodies of a boy band exploding at Chornobyl; a sneering punk tantrum dissolves into a strange, tender confessional. 

Candie’s sophomore EP coming later this year, was recorded with Michael Smith (Wolf Alice and Anteros) at RYP Studios in Rayners Lane, between incessant Wetherspoons trips the lads did manage to crack out 5 studied, sharp rock and roll tracks, the first of which ‘Break Into My House’, coming May 9th, sets the tone for a new level of inventive sonic carnage …
